And weaving through the whole composition — monarchs, drifting past the flowers and out over the water, the same way they seem to be everywhere on this island right now.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI loved the challenge of balancing all of it — the graphic punch of the flag's red, white, and blue against the softer greens and violets of the flower boxes, the quiet stillness of the seated figure against the flutter of butterflies overhead.
