View of Newburyport starting at Pleasant Street and looking over the Unitarian Church, Inn Street, Unicorn Street, Market Square and beyond to the Clipper Ships in the harbor in the 1860's.
In the center of the painting is the Unitarian Church which is an outstanding example of the Federal Style of American architecture. It was built in 1801 with the massive structural work being done with the help of local shipwrights and it supports one of the most beautiful wooden spires in New England. Printed in Europe.
