It was a really humid, warm, two days
of painting Michael’s Harborside on the water in Newburyport, MA. It is an iconic image in Newburyport and I have wanted to paint it for a number of years. I was nestled up under the bridge out of the sun and many a passerby made very kind comments. I apologize for not being a very good conversationalist when I’m painting. A wonderful visit from noted photographer Bob Watts made my final day.
12” x 16”, oil on board, Richard Burke Jones unframed.
