Along the Trail, Near Cashman Launch
So I set up on my second day of painting along the river in Cashman Park and next to the rail trail. I was startled by a young woman who approached me from behind. After I settled down I said hello and she said if you don’t mind I come every day to hug the tree that you are next to - would you mind?. Naturally I said please go for it. She gave the tree a big hug and said I come every day and hug my tree. She said I do like the painting, are those seagulls. I said actually those are boats and she said “I’m sorry my eyesight is not what it should be“. No Problem. She was very nice and some say, like artists, trees have feelings too. Every painting is an experience!
