As I was working on this painting on the Newburyport Boardwalk late on an April day, the Captains Lady Party boat came across the river pushing their docks into position. It was done with a confidence I would only hope I had in my brushwork!
The time of *twilight* fascinates me and the view of the days light dipping down behind the Tuscan grill and the Gillis Bridge creates colors and close values that assemble a pleasing pattern of tones with highlights popping throughout!
