Flying Egrets on the Reguge
Flying Egrets on the Reguge
The Plum Island refuge is just that…a refuge from the ever- present stresses and worries of everyday life. I set my easel up and attempted to capture the rich ochres, siennas and greens of the marsh grasses as we head into autumn. I noticed immediately the quiet of the place…. And a number of people just ‘sitting’ as they brought their stream of random thoughts to a slower dance through their awareness. Personally, after three hours of imitating nature, my stream centers on the daunting task at hand and a pervasive calm envelops me. One can only hope it is a non-dual state that might last a bit as we enter back into the mostly fractured every day world!
