I rode my e-bike into Market Square in Newburyport looking for something to paint—and these brilliant hanging flowers caught my eye. 🌺 I set up my easel right on the sidewalk and painted this watercolor mostly on location, trying to capture the color, light, old brick buildings, and energy of one of my favorite places in Newburyport. There’s something special about plein-air painting: you never quite know what will catch your eye until you’re standing there.
