Late Day View up River
Late Day View up River
High above the rail trail is the crow’s nest view of the Boardwalk, the boats, the walk through Cashman park, the boat launch, the Boat Club and beyond in Newburyport MA. The light sweeps south to north lighting up the elements - the trees, the boats and the many people walking ….and I love painting the geese flying…south this time of year. The walk is heavily travelled early Saturday evening as everyone heads to the wonderful restaurants we have in Newburyport! There is a confident step in all toward a much deserved “night out”!
Second day out I noticed there was a young man flying a drone over the same area I was painting. He was thirty, I am in my 70s and had nothing in common until we chatted and became quick friends as he designed E bikes, he being an electrical engineer in living in California but from Newburyport. We quickly politically aligned over the common goal of concern for the planet. Further proof that with ‘others’ you need to peel back that first layer of the skin of the onion
before any judgments. Hello Alden!
