The white magnolias in front of City Hall, Newburyport looking toward Central Congregational’s white steeple and across at Brown's Square is quintessential New England. The magnolias are a sure sign that spring is here and soon to be followed by warm days to enjoy the outdoors. Saturday morning was perfect, Sunday morning was imperfect. It was raining this morning so I was huddled under Chris's Harborframes' front door - competing with many dogs interested in their goodies....hope you enjoy the scene as much as I did painting it! 12 x 24", Oil, Richard Burke Jones
