Prayerful Moments

As often as possible I try to go to Mass and there I witness so many committed and deeply spiritual parishioners that share their joy and their faith.

In this work we see a Madonna and child on the right. In the center there is a mother praying with her son kneeling next to her and her daughter looking over the pew at her while also praying.

They are worshipping beneath a stained glass window with the leaded glass and subtle but vibrant colors.

I have to designed the painting with a hopefully discernible rhythm to the past and the shapes and tones for the present. It is about the somewhat elusive transcendent enriched by a leap of faith. (S.Kierkegaard)
