This painting began without a fixed narrative — only the intention to let the arrangement speak for itself. The roses were painted quickly, with direct brushwork, allowing color and movement to remain honest and uncorrected.

The small figurine was added late in the process, almost reluctantly. It was not meant to explain the scene, but to suggest that even in stillness there is memory, witness, and devotion.

Currently I am fascinated with the moments wherein ordinary objects quietly carry meaning — where a vase of flowers becomes not decoration, but presence.
